 Acolytes (2008)
IMDB rating: 5.80
Plot: James Tresswick and Mark Vincent are victims of a brutal bully Gary Parker who has maltreated both boys, marking their bodies and spoiling their young lives. In their last year of high school, James and Mark find a way to stop being victims. They’re going to kill Gary; Wandering alone around an isolated forest – the suspected site of the disappearance of a local girl – 17 year old Mark strays upon an adult male filling in a trench. It’s suspicious and tantalizing. Mark returns with his friend James and Chasley Keys and they bring shovels to exhume what will probably be rotting garbage or someone’s dead pet – or so they tell themselves. They find the ghostly white body of a woman. She’s a tourist – a Canadian backpacker. The “trench” is a grave. The “adult male” is her killer. And they’ve got him by the balls. Responding to Mark’s intimations James floats an idea to seek out “the sicko”. It’ll be a bit of fun. He’s confident the guy lives in their suburb; Mark saw his car parked on a trail; Mark knows what the car looks like; Mark knows what he looks like. It can be done. Chasely goes along with it. No surprise. James has done all her thinking since they started a relationship. Mark agrees because he’s got a thing for Chasely and he’d like to appear a bit more like her boyfriend, but mostly Mark agrees because he carries a culpable secret. They find the car and the killer 24 hours later. He’s got the same house as everyone else and a kid and a wife. Jeez, it’s anticlimactic. Then, in Chasely’s bedroom, as the girl cleans up the latest damage done to Mark’s face by an animal called Gary Parker, James floats another idea; What if the killer were contacted and told the name of a guy that they’d like to see dropped in a hole of his own? He’s their secret, isn’t he? They kind of own him, don’t they? If he thinks they might let him go he’d do anything, wouldn’t he? What could go wrong? James, Mark and Chasley are about to cross a line of no return as serial killer Ian Wright lures the vulnerable teenagers into his violent world.

What world do you live in poets?
The forest’s gloom has deepened now,
Its burnished bronze fast run to gray
Beneath the mighty cedar bough
Where veery song has passed away.
And soon Orion will once more
Kneel down at Eridanus’ shore
And Phaeton’s plight with tear endow
The passage into night from day.
Adrift in Mare Cognitum
I scarcely seem to feel the tide
Of all I found so wearisome
When I made pause to subdivide
And analyze the warp and woof
Of simple gifts beyond reproof
As harvest time’s chrysanthemum
Amask in dew at morningtide.
If I ascend Olympus Mons
To meditate on twofold moons
Will tempest brewing in my pons
Be heightened by their perilunes,
Or are these twins the Gordian knot
That know but language polyglot,
The quintessential sine qua nons
Forever two, as they were hewn.
But forest gloom is home tonight
And there is mystery in the air
To beckon to the acolyte
In thrush’s warbling solitaire.
If Euclid’s postulates must bend
Then let me know the love unpenned
In language of the recondite
That is Orion’s quiet prayer.
Cassie, this poem is a philosophical reflection that followed from reading Whitman’s "The Learn’d Astronomer"; that poem raises the question of whether we wring the mystery and enchntment of the world from it by overanalysis, so I asked myself it it is even possible to think analytically about anything and, at the exact same moment, still have a pure ‘experience’ of it. I doubt that this is even possible, though that may simply be a reflection of my own mental limitations. Read the whitman poem, consider that premise, and then reread my little bit of verse. I recognize that this is a challenging poem, but it is also a deep question that it is asking. I don’t wish to exclude anyone with a poem like this, only to encourage all who read it to think about things they might not otherwise have considered. My favorite writers do that for me… Cheers!
I enjoyed this trip into outer space, however, If you ascend to Olympus Mons you are bound to find Martians there. LOL

 The Brothers Bloom (2008)
IMDB rating: 7.70
Plot: Brothers – older Stephen and three years junior Bloom – have been con artists since they were kids. Stephen is the mastermind, for who the intricacy of the story used in the con is as important as the positive outcome of the swindle. Bloom is the main character of Stephen’s stories, the character he considers the anti-hero. As adults, they travel the world and never enlist the same people twice in their cons, except for their consistent sidekick, the mysterious and primarily silent Bang Bang, a Japanese woman who just appeared in their lives one day and who has a penchant for blowing things up. As Bloom hits his mid-thirties, he wants to quit the business as he is losing his own identity to that of the characters he portrays; he doesn’t know anymore what is real and what is make-believe. Stephen talks him into one last con, the mark to be the eccentric, lonely but beautiful New Jersey heiress, Penelope Stamp. Penelope’s primary past-time in life is to, as she calls it, “borrow hobbies”: when she sees something she likes, she learns how to do it solely through reading books. As the brothers go through their final con on Penelope, three main problems may occur to thwart the plan. First, the brothers’ former mentor and now arch enemy, Diamond Dog, may exact his long awaited revenge on the brothers. Second, Penelope may end up being more unpredictable than all their former marks. And third, Bloom, who has let love slip by in his life, may fall for Penelope. But through the process, no one ever really knows who is conning who.

What do you think of my poem? Please answer?
I think of roses red
and sunshine showers
I think of thumping hearts
And blooming flowers
But your smile alone
Spreads my wings
You are the son of the angels
And yet you remain brother of the Earth
And how I yearn to see you smile
To watch you change us with that heart
We thought you were for forever
Always ours to love
But still, you have left us,
To weep for our loss
We thought you were
To sing forever
To move and laugh
And cry, no less
Though you are gone, you will remain
Forever, the Eternal Child, the King of Pop, the Michael Joseph Jackson
Hehe, although I DO love Michael Jackson, I wrote this mainly for a friend of mine.
What do you think? This is the first poem I’ve ever written (for myself, not for school or anything) and I’m not much of a poet anyway, but I was just wondering what you people think of it.
But your smile alone
Spreads my wings
see if you like the change:
I think of the captivating smile
launching me on my well spread wings
Oh! The power of your smile!
That alone yea that alone
Succeeded where everything else failed!
For a First timer it is 10 out of 10 I say’

why do you need these? there’s way to many, i doubt to many people are going to answer.
if you’ve seen the movies, they’ll be pretty easy to figure out…
Shelby [oh, hi mark!] | Jun 19, 2009
Wow. That list is REALLY long. Like the first answerer said, why do you need these?
In Finding Nemo, Marlin (Nemo’s dad) goes through a lot of anxiety while looking for his son.
Alice from Alice in Wonderland (I really wanted to check if you had that one; I love that movie) seems to have a little anxiety, since she’s having trouble following the skewed logic of Wonderland citizens.
As for other characters from movies near the top of the list, they seem to feel a little depressed and incomplete, like Mulan (felt that she was a disgrace to her family), Tigger (in The Tigger Movie, he didn’t have a family and felt really sad), Beast (in Beauty and the Beast, he’s scared that nobody will like him because he’s pretty darn ugly), etc. You can just watch some of these movies again (it’s fun, trust me) or at least think about the ones you remember fairly well.

i'm so fed up of my boyfriend, we've just had a massive row, and now I want to leave him for good, help!?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 years, I’m 27, he’s 36. 9 years ago, I fell pregnant by him and at around 4 months pregnant, was contacted by his girlfriend (whom i did not know existed) and was harassed by her for weeks, the stress of which resulted in me miscarrying the baby. Like a fool, and because I loved him, I stayed with him even though he made pathetic excuses like he was just her lodger, and was shown no sympathy from him for the baby we had lost. Soon after I fell pregnant by him again, and I swear if this had not happened, I really think I would have left him. I know I was stupid but I was young. When we had the baby, I was left on my own most of the time while he went out and had fun with his mates, and when I wanted to go out, he would come in drunk so I couldn’t leave our baby with him. On my 21st birthday he got steaming drunk, and instead of taking me out as promised, left me sitting at home on my own while he went and got bladdered. He stopped doing this so often, after a while, but then paid me no attention even when at home . For the past 3 or 4 years I have spent most evenings upstairs in the bedroom, while he stays downstairs playing his games console. He is a god dad to our son, but i feel traped with a man i dont really love anymore, we have a mortgage on our house and I feel that this ties us to each other. I cant talk to him about how i fel as he wont discuss things like that and just jokes about it. I’m not saying we dont get on at all, we have had some good times, but i would rather be on my own than live like this anymore. I would love to be able to move away from our town, but as i left college when i got pregnant, have no qualifications and could not get any now. I know this whole experience has given me low low self esteem, it’s a vicious circle. Tonight he went out, and we had a blazing row, I rang him to ask if I could use his spare mobile for an alarm as my phone broke, and he put me on loudspeaker so his friends could hear and said some horrible things to me, then came home and said he was joking, i was in tears about the things he said, and have decided i cant go on like this anymore, what shall i do? I rally have had enough, but my family will hate me if i leave, and i have no-where to go, how can i leave?
Your boyfriend is a jerk and does not deserve you. Also think about what kind of bad role model is he to your son and what kind of behavior your son learns that is okay to conduct. I think you should leave him and go back to college. There are many colleges for single women with children where most of their tuition is taken care of and where they help you out to get your education while raising your son. You can live there on campus with your child too.
I think it is a time for you to have a happy life.

sit him down tell him to stop drinking and pay more attention to you and say if he don’t your going to leave if he takes it as a joke go away for a week stay at a mates buy a hotel take the kid.. then come back and see what he has to say if he dosent change then you should leave him he needs to grow up im 15 and i can see hes a bit of a ….
before you leave if you do smash his games console up hehehehehe.

Why would your family hate you if you leave this moron, don,t they know what he is doing to you or are they morons also, no one has to be treated like you are being treated, you are just a lap dog for him and if your family can,t take you back into their home you should perhaps go to your church they often have housing for mothers in distress, but I would not be staying with Mr Moron as you are,get some help and get out baby,I can,t believe you have put up with him for so long there is more to life than being in prison as you are you have missed out on so much,so all I can say is get out just go and leave him to worry about the house.

You have been together with your partner for a very long time now, and I congratulate you on that, but not if you have been spending that time together with someone you feel forced to be with. There are a lot of other options out there, and support for you is out there if you just take the time to find it. I don’t know the exact source of all the help you can get, especially out of my country, but if you seek advice from places, I am sure you can make an important change in your life. Once you get it, you will have the support of others to help you figure out what you have to do, where you have to go, and you will be able to figure out a lot of your unanswered questions. There is support for you out there, and they are there for the purpose of people like you.
I can understand why guys would like to make a fool out of you, but they did it out of your own expense, and that is probably what hurt you the most. If he can’t at least recognize he made a mistake and that he hurt you, then perhaps he has just stopped caring. Even if you are single, you will be far better off without him. You will have the freedom to take care of yourself, and provide for the wellbeing for your child. And if you still feel up for it, maybe you will be able to find someone who will respect you a whole lot more once your life gets all cleared up.
Seek help and support. And most of all, good luck to you.

Meanwhile, Petruchio (Richard Burton), a fortune-hunting scoundrel from Verona, arrives in Padua, hoping to capture a wealthy wife. Hortensio (Victor Spinetti), another suitor of Bianca, directs Petruchio’s attention to Katharina. Sparknotes is amazing!!! Check it out
This site gives you the "old" text but, on the right side of this page there is a translation of how you would say it in this day in time. A perfect site to really understand what the characters are saying. Good luck on getting Bianca tomorrow!

To all Weezer fans, what are the best songs they've ever made?
I’m a big fan of Asian Kung-fu Generation, Japan’s famous J-rock band who played the great singles Haruka Kanata(Naruto), After Dark(Bleach), and Rewrite (Fullmetal Alchemist). I really like their style and I later found out they have a lot of Weezer influence in their works. Weezer has many songs! I don’t even know where to start, lol! So which would you recommend me to start listening to first?
i love my name is jonas!!!!!!!!!
